Emergency Dental Care and First Aid

Leumit members under the age of 18 and those aged 72 and above are entitled to receive reimbursement for initial emergency dental treatments during the hours when dental clinics under the Leumit agreement are closed, provided by dentists who are not part of the Leumit network.

Dental emergencies often happen at the most inconvenient times. Whether it is severe tooth pain, dental trauma, or another urgent issue, getting treatment when clinics are closed can be challenging.

Leumit members under the age of 18 and over the age of 72 may be eligible for reimbursement for emergency or first-aid dental treatment received outside the operating hours of Leumit-contracted dental clinics, when treated by a dentist who is not part of Leumit’s provider network.

What Is Considered First Aid?

First-aid dental treatment refers to urgent care that cannot be postponed, such as:

Pain relief
Prescription of medication
Surgical treatment in acute inflammatory conditions
Removal of tooth decay and temporary filling
Reattachment of a fallen filling or restoration

Emergency and first-aid dental services involve payment. Final charges are determined by the treating dentist according to the type of treatment and the Leumit Dental price list.
Please note: treatment costs do not include X-rays.
