Physical Activity Workshop for Women in Menopause

Leumit's exercise class for menopausal women is intended for women aged 45 to 65, with the belief that regular physical activity helps and alleviates menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, bone density loss, restlessness and fatigue. Staying active during menopause increases estrogen levels and metabolism rate and helps maintain a normal weight.

The class includes 10 weekly sessions, conducted by a qualified fitness instructor, at a total cost of NIS 200.

Weight Loss and Pre-diabetes Workshop

Being overweight can negatively impact health, increasing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and various types of cancer. Pre-diabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are elevated, and the body does not use insulin properly. If left untreated, pre-diabetes can develop into diabetes, leading to potential damage to cells, nerves, and organs, as well as heart disease and other complications.

Leumit’s weight loss workshop is designed for customers over the age of 18 with a BMI of 27 or higher or those diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The program includes 10 weekly sessions led by a clinical dietitian, with each session lasting an hour and a half.

This workshop is designed for adults aged 65 and over, and offers knowledge, support, and guidance for maintaining a balanced lifestyle that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being.

The program includes 10 weekly sessions, each 90 minutes long, led by a multidisciplinary team of a nurse, dietitian, and social worker.

Workshops for Parents and New Moms

Baby massage has many benefits: the massage is soothing and relaxing, effective for calming and preventing gas, treating constipation, relieving colds, helping to deal with sleep problems and strengthening the body's systems. The massage strengthens the bond between the parent and the baby, and is enjoyable for both parties. The calmness and warm contact of the parent with the baby encourages the baby's development.

In an ideal world, you will never need the tools you gain at a CPR workshop. However, unfortunately, accidents happen, babies inhale foreign bodies, get hurt and injured, and knowledge and training in life-saving methods such as the Heimlich maneuver or infant respiration, are the only way to ensure your full control of the situation.

In the workshop we will engage in aerobic activity, strength exercises, flexibility and stretching to improve cardiopulmonary endurance and strengthen muscles.

The workshop is intended for pregnant women and women who are up to a year after giving birth, and includes 10 weekly sessions, conducted by a qualified fitness instructor.
