A Healthier Way of Life

This workshop is designed for Leumit clients aged 18 and over with a BMI of 27 or higher, or those diagnosed with pre-diabetes. It includes 10 weekly sessions led by a clinical dietitian, each lasting 90 minutes.

Additional Information

The program focuses on developing healthy eating habits through guidance on nutrition, meal planning, food environment awareness, and encouraging physical activity. Together, these elements support weight loss and help balance and lower blood sugar levels.

Participants will explore a variety of nutritional topics to better understand how their choices affect their body, weight, and overall health, including:

Understanding the food pyramid and macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), their roles, types, importance, and recommended intake

The effects of sugar and its impact on the body

The benefits of dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals – their sources and daily needs

How to read food labels and ingredients lists

Emotional eating and how to build awareness for healthier patterns

Practical tips for a healthy lifestyle, including sample menus to make healthy eating easier and more accessible.
