Physical Activity Workshop for Individuals with Overweight

Balance Your Body and Prevent Diabetes

This workshop is for Leumit clients with a BMI of 27 or higher and for those diagnosed with pre-diabetes. It includes 10 weekly sessions led by a certified fitness instructor. Total cost: 150 NIS.

Combining physical activity with healthy nutrition is considered the most effective way to lose weight and reverse pre-diabetic conditions.

Exercise helps lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels, boosts metabolism and calorie burn, enhances self-efficacy, reduces the risk of anxiety and depression, and supports weight loss while preserving muscle mass.

Health organizations in Israel and worldwide recommend 150 minutes of physical activity per week.

The workshop includes aerobic exercise, strength training, flexibility, and stretching – all designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, strengthen and lengthen muscles, increase joint mobility, and provide tools for safe, healthy, and enjoyable independent workouts.
