Messaging with your gynecologist

You can message your gynecologist to ask questions, seek advice, request prescriptions, and more, 

The service is available if you have visited your gynecologist in the past year, or if you are pregnant (congratulations!) and have visited your gynecologist in the past three months.

Who, and what, is this service intended for?

Through the “Messaging with a Gynecologist” service, you can contact your doctor via the Leumit website or app, without visiting a medical center.

The service is intended for non-urgent inquiries that do not require a physical examination.

The service is available to:

  • Women (not pregnant) who have visited a gynecologist in the past year (and have not visited another gynecologist since).
  • Pregnant women who have visited a gynecologist in the past three months and have an open pregnancy follow-up record.

How does messaging work?

Messaging is done via the Leumit website or app, similar to messaging with your personal physician (family doctor or pediatrician).

  1. Log in to the Leumit website or app and select “Contact a Gynecologist.” This option also appears under “My Pregnancy” in the app.
  2. Select “New inquiry.” You can choose between requesting a prescription, requesting a referral, explaining test results, requesting a medical letter, or asking a medical question.
  3. After entering your request, you will be asked to confirm your mobile phone number and email address.

Once your request has been handled or your question answered, you will receive a notification by email and SMS. Responses are provided within five business days.

Want to send a message to your gynecologist?

By clicking the button, you can send a direct message to your gynecologist. You may contact your gynecologist via messaging up to four times per quarter.

Information provided through this service does not replace an in-person medical visit, and urgent cases cannot be treated through this service.

Phone appointment with your gynecologist

Some of Leumit’s gynecologists who work in Leumit medical centers (as opposed to independent clinics) are available for questions, clarifications, consultations, prescription requests, and more via a phone call.

Scheduling an appointment

Appointments can be scheduled via the Leumit website, the app, or the customer service center at *507. 

If a phone appointment is available, a “Schedule by phone” button will appear next to the “Schedule clinic visit” button.

At the time of the appointment, please be available. The call may take place within a 15-minute window before or after the scheduled time. Make sure you are in a private place suitable for a confidential conversation. You will be contacted at the phone number updated in Leumit’s system.

Please note that any documents issued during the call will be available in “My Health File” on the Leumit website and app, with no need for printing. Prescriptions issued are digital and can be used at pharmacies.
