Any israeli resident is entitled to register as a member of a Health Fund. Spouses must register independently. Parents are entitled to register his/her children with him/her, if they receive a children’s allowance from the National Insurance institute. (If the parent does not receive the children's allowance, the second parent must sign to confirm registration of the children).
New immigrants can easily join the Leumit Health Fund, at the Post Office with an immigrant identity card asking to be a member at the Leumit Health fund. New immigrants joining Leumit are entitled to receive medical services as soon as they register.
